What's Next?

Alpha v0.1.3 took a long while. We packed this thing with a ton of sauce and made some critical decisions. We were very ambitious with this update, having laid out and written almost every biome in the current game and added the Neverglades. We also expanded the Appendix.

Gear, vehicles, and mementos will be revisited a bit later. So what's next for Wellspring?

We'll focus on the Setting section and tweak descriptions for mechanics that may be a bit fuzzy or dated. We're also looking at making changes to the Great Family pages and the traveler creation process. This series of updates will be slim and lead up to 0.2! This is what we're calling "The Big One" in our Mirage Company Discord. You should join that, by the way. Hang with the Company. 0.2 is the tactical battle update. We'll be soon revealing our battle roles and classes in addition to all of the rules. There will be 5 battle classes in 0.2, and more to come later as we advance!

I've gotten some questions about a free and paid version split, and once we write the Storyteller section of the book it'll likely happen. We're really far out from this, though. We don't even know if we'll call them Storytellers once we're deep into beta. We'll see! What's important is that everyone's got access to our entire game for free, and can toss money at us to support our legendary journey if they'd like to do so.
